To keep our students learning and progressing, we use the Musical Ladder system. Why Should You Take Flute Lessons?

Music Lessons Academy is the right place for you especially if you are interested in private flute classes or lessons with certified flute teachers in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra or Brisbane.

You can take these lessons in the traditional way (in person), or if it is more convenient you can take them online.

Either way, flute lessons can speed up your progress, make practice more enjoyable, and improve your chances of gaining any real success in the music industry.

The modest cost of 1 on 1 flute lessons far outweigh the long term rewards.

Our professional local flute teachers are able to help students from all age ranges: from seniors, adults, teenagers, to young children.

In addition to the physical aspect of learning to play the flute your teacher will also introduce you to the basics of music theory, such as chords, chord inversion, and note counting.

In addition you will learn exercises to facilitate and improve your technique more quickly.

In short your flute teacher can offer techniques and insights that will help to accelerate your progress in a way that likely will not happen if you teach yourself.

No matter whether you are at an advanced, intermediate, or beginner level, our teachers have a variety of different styles and backgrounds which means it should not be hard to find the right match for both your skill level and your musical taste.

We are so confident that you will be happy with your first lesson that we offer our customers a 100% satisfaction guarantee for their first lesson.

What other costs can I expect from private flute lessons?

Aside from the rate of lessons and the initial purchase or rental of a flute, you can expect to purchase other materials such as flute books, a metronome and tuner for practicing, a cleaning swab and cloth, and a music stand. Additionally, there may be future expenses such as the occasional piece of sheet music or flute books as the student advances.

What can I expect from private flute classes? How does my child need to prepare?

Learning an instrument and taking lessons are a great way to unlock your child’s creativity while simultaneously creating structured habits. Lessons will be spent performing homework assignments from the prior week, reviewing how to read music, learning new notes, and an introduction to the music that will be assigned as homework.

A beginning student should practice from 10-20 minutes a day, depending on their age and ability. One of the greatest challenges in flute playing is consistently producing a sound. Because of the nature of the instrument (blowing into a hole rather than a mouthpiece), it is difficult to produce a sound right away. It can take some time for younger kids to make a sound, but this is very common.

As students progress, there will be fun rewards, such as playing duets with their teacher, learning their favorite songs or pieces from their favorite movies or shows, and even making up their own songs! Music is a fantastic way to be creative and imaginative while learning!
